Thomas Bowes election night concert - 7 May

The orchestra leader from James Bond movies Skyfall and Spectre (coming out this November) is back at CHS.

If you went to his last concert here in 2013 (read Elliott Henderson's review here), you will know that he tours the country to share his love of Bach's masterly and beautiful sonatas and partitas for solo violin - and you will want to hear him again, playing a new selection. And we are very grateful that he is donating this concert to CHS.

If you haven't heard Thomas Bowes before then be prepared to have all your preconceptions about listening to solo violin overturned. It is a truly astonishing experience.

You can book tickets online here. They are £8 (£4 concessions). Thomas Bowes is donating this performance to CHS.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Tickets will also be available at the door. The concert will end at around 9:15 so if you're local there is plenty of time to vote afterwards.

Thomas Bowes will play Bach's Partita no 3 in E Major BWV 1006, Sonata no 2 in A minor BWV 1003, Partita no 2 in D Minor BWV 1004. You can find out more about him here This year's Bach Pilgrimage takes in 3 churches: Holy Spirit, Clapham - St James, Piccadilly - St Mary Abchurch, EC4.
