This winter we have a record number of churches hosting in Clapham which is fantastic and reflects the heart of our community.  Ace of Clubs and St Paul’s have just completed their second week of hosting, and they are ever grateful for all the support given by the volunteers. If you wish to find out more about Robes please see their website here or speak to Mtr Ruth, our vicar.

You can read about some of our volunteers previous experiences here.

Opportunity for you

If you are willing and able to get involved in the New Year here at Holy Spirit on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings from 27th January or Christ Church on Tuesday evenings/Wednesday mornings from 16th January, you'll be very welcome, and there are a number of  roles for you to think about:

Evening – 2-3 Greeters/hosts, 3 chefs (to buy and prepare the evening meal, expenses reimbursed), 2 washing up

Overnight – 2 volunteers stay overnight taking it in turns to be awake

Morning – 2 breakfast chefs(food provided), 2 washing up, 1 store away beds & bedding bags

Please fill in the form here and return to claphamrobes@gmail.com or if you need to return it in a paper form please send it to Church of the Holy Spirit, Narbonne Avenue, Clapham SW4 9JU. Paper copies of this form can also be picked up from the back of your church.

A volunteer training date will be advised in due course, and once you have volunteered you will get contacted by the Robes Office with a volunteer agreement and a handbook.

We are very excited about this opportunity to give a warm welcome to our night shelter guests again this winter and we are especially thankful to you for making it possible.
