Palm Sunday Crosses

posted 30 Mar 2020, 06:48 by Church Office
This Sunday is Palm Sunday, the day that commemorates Jesus' entry in to Jerusalem after spending forty days and forty nights in the desert.
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy week which is the final week of Lent.

Usually we hand out palm crosses to be held up and blessed during the palm Sunday service. However, this year is a little different as we cannot be in church to hand out the crosses so we have found a way to make them yourselves!

No Palms, No Problem!

Here is a video showing you how to make palm crosses in various ways using paper, felt tips and scissors...

The first time can be a little tricky but you'll get the hang of it after the first one.

Then during our Zoom Palm Sunday service we can all hold up the crosses we've made to be blessed by Mother Ruth.

Good Luck with the crafts!
