Concert 23 January

Clapham Chamber Concerts present a programme which includes the Britten Cabaret Songs and Schumann's Frauenliebe.

The concert will feature the mezzo soprano Ciara Hendrick who has performed opera roles at Glyndebourne, Garsington and Buxton, and is a regular soloist in oratorios at St Martin-in-the-Fields and St John's Smith Square. As a solo recording artist, Ciara has worked with the LSO, recording the title track of the Oscar-nominated film, Incendies. Listen here.

She will be accompanied by Libby Burgess. As well as a busy schedule of performances both as accompanist and artistic director, Libby is head of keyboard at Eton College. You can hear her playing in a recent recording at Southwell here.

Friday 23 January: doors open at 7pm with the concert at 7:30pm. Tickets £12/ £9 concessions/ £5 children at the door. Refreshments before the concert and in the interval.

The concert was to take place at St Paul's Clapham, but because of essential repairs has had to re-locate to Church of the Holy Spirit.
