Go on …. take up something new for Lent People tend to think of Lent as a time to give things up but it is the ideal time to try something new. Doing something just a little bit different for FIVE WEEKS in Spring can open up a whole new perspective on who we are and how we live. This Lent we invite you to step outside of the everyday for one evening a week and see what where it takes you. ALL WELCOME absolutely NO previous experience or knowledge needed. WEDNESDAY EVENINGS Grab some peace and quiet. Be Still and Know that I am God is a weekly meditation session which helps us to be at home with ourselves and be in present moment. THURSDAY EVENINGS Each week we will take one image and one short Bible text as our guide into the heart of God and out into community. Evenings start promptly at 8.15pm to allow time for discussion and prayer and en around 9.30pm. The church will be open every Saturday in Lent from 12-2pm. We shall be offering a simple soup lunch in support of our Lent charity. There will a book stall to browse, people to chat with, or, if you’d rather, plenty of space for some quiet prayer and reflection. 12-2pm on 8th March, 15th March, 22nd March, 29th March 5th April SUNDAY EVENINGS Each year we make a pilgrimage around our sister churches in Clapham during Lent seeing what we can learn about God and life through one another. Each week a church from one tradition hosts and one from another tradition sends a visiting preacher. All services are at 6.30pm and all offer refreshments afterwards.
