It's Operetta! 10 November

In a programme from composers such as Franz Lehár, Strauss, Offenbach, and Gilbert and Sullivan amongst others, the Clapham Opera has woven a story using various arias from different operetta and some humorous opera arias.

We are delighted to be welcoming back Georgina Rosanna Murray (soprano) to CHS. As well as being the motive force behind it, Georgina sang with great panache in The Headlines Concert earlier this year.

On that occasion she partnered with Chloé de Bakker but we are excited to be welcoming Natasha Day (soprano) to sing this operetta programme.
The 2 singers are of course not only vocally very talented but they also have great acting skills and
work so well as pair. They are good fun and are very much looking forward to the performance.

The accompanist will once again be the excellent Richard Keohane on piano using the new concert grand acquired by Church of the Holy Spirit.

Hannah Wilson, who created the striking make-up for the Baroque recital, will again be working her magic on the performers. Not unnaturally, with two sopranos, the recital has a very " girl " orientated theme.
