Clapham Opera Festival

We are delighted and proud to be hosting the Clapham Opera Festival in October and November, with singers and players from the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and the Royal College of Music.

Not only will there be three themed concerts of opera arias, but then there is a performance of Don Pasquale (abridged).

They all take place at the Church of the Holy Spirit.

The aim of the Festival is to present Opera from different periods to the local Clapham community, and to support young artists and musicians, and particularly to attract a younger audience to enjoy some great music in an accessible way. Period baroque instruments will be featured in one of the concerts. The music will include favourites as well as discoveries, an d surprises are in store. There will be a chance after each performance to stay on and meet the artists for the first Bel Canto recital and read a review by Charlotte Valori.

Here is a sneak preview of an amazing voice which you can hear on 11th October, at the Baroque recital: it belongs to Michael Taylor.

The ideal way to sample is to get a pass for the whole event, and to attend with friends and family including children.
