Gutsy Gastros

Many of you will know Jane and Michael Bell and their three children, Albert, Lilly and Heidi who come to CHS.

All three of their children have a condition called Pseudo Obstructive Myopathy / Neuropathy. Albert is the most severely affected. His stomach, bowel and bladder do not function and as a consequence he has many complex health issues.Left is a picture of the brilliant Albert after winning a race at the 2014 Parish Picnic.

After spending years in and out of the Children’s Wards at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Jane realised there are many children affected by a wide range of complex bowel conditions. It was Jane's vision to set up a Charity to make a difference for these children and their families, to improve their quality of life. They are passionate about providing much needed equipment and support for children and teenagers suffering from debilitating conditions of the bowel to enable them to live life to the full whenever possible whilst in hospital - their hospital stays can often last for months and usually their conditions are for life.

We are excited to announce the launch of GUTSY GASTROS, a new Charity for Children and Teenagers with life threatening and life limiting bowel conditions.

Please save the date and come and join us to celebrate our launch at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Narbonne Road, Clapham

September 18th 7.00-9.00 pm

As well as an introduction about the Charity, there will be drinks with nibbles, music and a chance to win a quality prize form our raffle. But most of all it’s about bringing together as many friends to share this special evening.

We are looking for performers, musicians and anybody who would like to get involved with the event. If you would like to join is, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH! Most importantly though, bring along your family and friends for a wonderful evening.

Another notice will be made nearer the time to confirm ticketing and the order of the evening. However, if you have any further questions, would like to contribute in some way or information on JustGiving for any future fundraising then please email Joanna Gregg
