Holy Week and Easter

This week we journey together through the days leading to the arrest, trial and death of Christ culminating in the joyous celebration of his resurrection.  A rich treasure chest of worship experiences is on offer over the course of the week; please do come along and join us at any point during the week.

PALM SUNDAY  13th April

10.10am Procession with Palms

There will be Hosannas outside Bonneville School first thing as we gather to hear the Palm Gospel and bless our palm crosses (BonnevilleGardens, off Abbeville Road).  Followed by a lively procession to the church with singing and palm branches.

10.30am Passion Eucharist

The atmosphere shifts when we arrive at the church at 10:30am to focus on the last day of Jesus’s life.  There is no creed or sermon today, centre place is the moving dramatized reading of the Passion Gospel.

MONDAY IN HOLY WEEK 14th April

7.30pm Passover Supper

Food, wine, music and fun: what better way to prepare to celebrate Jesus’ Last Supper?  Starting off with exploring and tasting the traditional Passover symbolic food and wine and continuing with a delicious home-cooked meal.  There will be plenty of activities for the children (including making puppets of Pharaoh’s 10 plagues!).  There will be a suggested donation to cover costs of £8/5 but don’t let cost put you off - all are welcome.  To give us an idea of numbers for catering purposes please RSVP vicar@holyspirit-clapham.org.uk
